LG Electronics India has announced the launch of its new range of LCD monitors, mostly available in 19" wide sizes. Bridging the gap or further creating confusion, whatever you may call it, but these LG products can be used both as TVs or PC monitors, readily.
LG LCD monitors offer a Digital Fine Contrast (DFC) ratio of 5000:1 and response time of 5 ms backed with LG's proprietary f-engine, an embedded picture correction technology. LG LCD TV Monitors come with integrated PAL tuner for TV viewing. These monitors double up as a Desktop TV, without connecting to a computer. When connected to a PC, the consumer can use it for computing applications as a standard LCD Monitor.
The L194WS is a 19" wide model with f-engine and DFC. It is equipped with features like RGB and Intelligent Auto (Auto Resolution) and has a resolution of 1440x900 pixels and 300 nits brightness. The LCD monitor offers contrast ratio of 5000:1 (DFC). It has a viewing angle of 170/170 and 5 ms response time. The L194WS is available in the consumer market for Rs. 12,700.
The L194WT is a 19" wide model with ARC. It is equipped with features like f-Engine, DFC and HDCP Ready and also has a resolution of 1440x900 pixels and 300 nits brightness. It too offers contrast ratio of 5000:1 (DFC), a viewing angle of 170/170 and 5 ms response time. The L194WS is available in the for Rs. 13,700.
The 19" M1921A has a 4:3 aspect ratio and is equipped with features like f-Engine and integrated PAL TV Tuner. The M1921A is available for Rs. 18,900.
The M198WA is a 19" wide screen with 16:10 aspect ratio. This TV Monitor, besides functioning as a Desktop Monitor, can double up as TV ready for desktop viewing. With the integrated PAL Tuner, this TV Monitor can function as a TV without connecting to the computer and is available for Rs. 18,200.
The 20" wide screen M208WA sports a 16:10 aspect ratio and a DFC ratio of 3000:1. This too can function as a Desktop TV without connecting to a computer. This M198WA is available for Rs. 19,700.
