Buffalo Brings Wi-fi Gaming Device to India

Buffalo Incorporation, developer and manufacturer of wired and wireless networking, storage and memory solutions, has brought their game-centric device, Buffalo Wi-Fi Gamers (WCA-G), to India.

This device supports Nintendo Wii, DS, DS Lite, Sony PSP, and Playstation3 consoles and allows users to access online games with the push of a button. Buffalo's AirStation One-Touch Secure System (AOSS) provides instant connection to the internet, stores security settings and allows linking of devices.

As small as a playing card box, the device plugs into an available port on an existing LAN. Once connected, users can connect the device to the Internet . After pressing the corresponding AOSS button on the Wi-Fi Gamers and gaming console screen, users can play online games. It also manages the different levels of support security amongst different gaming consoles.

An embedded LCD monitor shows current set up status, the status of AOSS, wireless network and connection status. Other features include Wireless Channel Display, Auto Channel Selection, Manually Change Wireless Channel, Show Connected Devices and a Firmware Upgrade.

"We wanted to give a wireless gaming experience to the users with the high performance abilities," said Morikazu Sano, Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing at Buffalo. "User needs not to take manual steps for establishing a secure wireless connection and it does save the security key for you after the first entry so users can just start you game", he added.

With a limited two-year warranty, Buffalo's Wi-Fi Gamers (WCA-G) will be available at the end of the month at Rs. 2400 through retailers, online resellers and Buffalo's Web site www.buffalotech.com.
