Tomb Raider Anniversary

When British archaeologist Lara Croft made her debut in the virtual world of video games way back in 1996 she immediately became an icon overnight. For years she was every adolescent’s favorite pin up girl enjoying top spot on their walls/computer desktops etc. but slowly her popularity started declining as Eidos started churning out crappier sequels and then in 2003 Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness happened ending all hopes of her every reviving her career. Before kissing the franchise goodbye Eidos decided to hand over the realms of development of one last Tomb Raider game to British developer Crystal Dynamics who not only managed to revitalize her career with Tomb Raider legend but also brought her back in the limelight once again.

And now we have Eidos cashing in on the Lara fever once again with Tomb Raider Anniversary (TRA), a re-release of Lara’s very first game using the Legend engine to celebrate her ten year stint in the industry. Fans of the series will fall in love with Lara all over again as she platforms her way into their hearts and as far as newcomers are concerned, they’re bound to have a good time since this game right here, is the perfect introduction to the series.
