Ninja Gaiden 2 is a tricky little proposition. On one hand, I’m pretty scared of how tough this game would actually be while on the other hand, all the copious amounts of gore and dismemberment have really perked my interest in the sequel.
Either way, if you feel you’re masochistic enough to handle the sequel, here’s a small trickle of information courtesy of computervideogames.com that could make your day:
According to reports, the face-chopping sequel will have you murdering rival ninjas in real-world environments, including settings in Tokyo, Venice and Times Square in New York, although we wouldn't count on there being passer-by grannies to punch.
The fighting system has been enhanced with improved enemy AI and new moves. Enemies can perform co-operative attacks, while Ryu will get a new Obliteration technique - a series of fatal blows delivered if you hit Y immediately after removing an enemy limb.
Ninja Gaiden 2 releases exclusively for the Xbox 360 in 2008.
