Asus To Launch U1E Ultra-Portable

Asus is all set to release a new laptop in its U series of Ultra-portables. The new model to be announced will be called the U1E and will sport a sleek new design with a carbon fibre body.

It will be based on the Santa Rosa platform and will include a Core Duo ULV7500 processor, 2GB RAM, 100GB hard drive, external dual layer DVD burner, a/b/g wireless, Bluetooth, 0.3 mega pixel webcam, fingerprint reader, and Windows Vista.

The laptop will be using a 9 cell battery which will be capable of giving 6 hours of battery life. The U1E will be available from next month for approximately US$2846.
