Samsung Launches VoIP Capable Monitors

Samsung has launched two new LCD panels - the Syncmaster 220TN and 225UW.

They open up a new front on VoIP as it is possible to use these monitors directly for video conferencing and voice calls by allowing its users to go online without connecting to a PC. Specifications wise these monitors are similar to other 22-inch affairs as they sport a 1680x1050 resolution, 5ms response time, 2.0 mega pixel camera, microphone, and speaker. No word available yet on pricing and shipping dates.
