Foxconn Introduces Mars Motherboard

Foxconn has introduced a new product, simply called Mars. This introduction is the first product in the new Quantum Force motherboard line which is designed for overclocking and gaming enthusiasts. The new motherboard is based on the Intel P35 chipset and features BIOS function with a voltage multiplier for accessing a much wider range of voltage settings, advanced memory timing configuration and instant overclocking options for novices In other innovations, the BIOS features utilities such as OC Gear (which allows you to store OC profiles) and OC Recover (which automatically recovers to last good setting after a failure), make overclocking more convenient.

The board has full support for the new upcoming Penryn processors i.e. supports Intel Quad Core processor at up to 1333MHz FSB, can have up to max 8GB RAM. It also sports a 1 PCI Express x16 slot, 1 PCI Express x4 slot, 12 USB ports, 1 ATA, RAID 0/1/5/10 with Intel Matrix Storage Technology and Intel Rapid Recover technology, 7.1channel HD Audio, and Gigabit LAN.

The Mars will be available from Sept. for a cost of USD$250.
